Thornlie Senior High School year 11 students have enjoyed a successful transition into Senior school education. Students are confronted with many new challenges and have embraced them with a positive, can-do attitude including either sitting their first upper school exams – no doubt a massive learning experience that can only be improved upon and Workplace Learning –over two weeks.
Semester two will focus academically on each student’s Western Australia Certificate of Education standard of achievement and identify learning goals and potential career pathways. Socially School Leavers Jacket and Ball committees will be formed in Term 3 to start planning for a big 2021 Graduation year. There are many young leaders within our ranks and I would encourage students to consider nominating and take on the challenge of the 13 Leadership positions available in 2021 including Head Boy and Girl, Student Council members and House Faction Captains. All students are considered role models at School and in the Community and we expect students to continue to rise to the challenges.
