COVID 2021 Readiness

Dear Parents/Guardians

Our highest priority, as a high care- high performance secondary school, is to ensure we are well prepared to assist your child continue their education uninterrupted over this year.

As you are aware the West Australian Government is committed to ensuring the COVID Delta strain does not have the opportunity to spread in our state.

For your information the Thornlie SHS Student Remote Learning Guide aims to maintain your child’s access to learning IF students are unable to physically attend school for a period of time due to an official COVID Lockdown.

This approach is a precaution that will ONLY be activated on Health Department advice of a COVID Lockdown in the Perth Metropolitan.

Please take the time to familiarise yourself and your child with the guide that can be located via School Documentation | Compass or Connect  Learning Resources.

In addition, teachers will assist students to continue to develop their remote learning skills with the use of CONNECT and other technology platforms as a part of their normal learning program.

Should you child have limited or no access to technology they will be provided a Work Package on request during an official COVID Lockdown .

Kind regards

Donna McDonald
