Attention Parents and Guardians of Year 7 and 9 students

NAPLAN Online testing begins Tuesday May 11th
and runs through to Friday May 21st. The testing is designed to assess the Literacy and Numeracy skills of all Year 7 and 9 students nationally. These students will be undertaking four tests over the two week period and will be completing the tests online for the first time. The testing process and dates are attached as well as more information regarding NAPLAN.

It is important that your child attends school during this time as each student must complete each test in sequence (eg Writing must be done before Reading and so on). The school will provide opportunities for your child to ‘catch-up’ missed tests but it is not in their best interest in trying to complete all tests within a shortened time frame. We have established an assessment schedule that ensures that no student will complete two assessments in the same day. Please assist your child by reassuring them that NAPLAN is just one part of their school program, and by reminding them on the day to simply try their best.

If you have any concerns about the testing, or you are aware that your child will be absent on any of these days, please contact me at the school on 9376 2113.

Kind regards
Mr Paul Beecham
