The Year Eight’s are now well underway on their high school journey – still the little fish in amongst our 1200 students, but are starting to gain more confidence and are finding their feet at Thornlie Senior High School.
Our year eight students are involved in many extra-curricular activities such as:
- Thornlie Thunder Rugby Academy
- Thunder Ohana Cheer & Dance
- Specialised Music
- STEM Club
- The Smith Family
Each day, two students are nominated to be our ‘Students Hosts’ for the day to work alongside our Student Services team. They carry out many important jobs such as putting the Australian flag up, running messages to staff and students, helping with administrative tasks, the list goes on.
The students continue to be rewarded for their positive behaviour through our Student of the Month program. Attendance Champion certificates and the House Points system are also a popular way for students to be recognised for their behaviour and positive choices.
